Cold, wet
and gloomy. I need a change, what are the options?
Cold or
warm, "I know, I'll start in Spain"
Years of
thought and no planning, that's was it, a decision was made.
Many
ventures I have been involved with are born out of circumstances,
circumstantial actions have made me appreciate the many diverse options
that have ensued.
With a
collection of tried, failed and succeeded activities behind me, not to
mention the tangle of life's rich tapestry of personal, physical and
emotional strings, the heartaches, loves, turmoil's etc, of which a
majority of us are familiar, now residing in the space of brain reserved
for junk and occasional connections to wisdom, I am now going to change
the direction of my destiny with one simple decision.
This
decision has been made in an instant, years of individual thoughts have
collectively battled against each other, ultimately bringing confusion and
indecisiveness, lack of direction and disillusionment. The peculiar
outcome is a decisive decision based upon the direction I have always
wished to pursue but have been unable to justify. The justification
required is no longer as important as I had once imagined, I enjoy a
challenge, this experience, at worst, will give me memories and visions
that cannot be substituted with dreams.
This diary
will be recording the events leading up to the departure of English
shores, hatched from the decision made in January 2001, and will be
followed with periodic updates of the 'Spanish Trail'.
You are
invited to track the development of the journey, with the series of real
life scenarios of humour, decision making and general experiences, from
which you can formulate your own conclusions.
